Understanding admissions at OMC

Oxford Manor College campus

As a British school delivering a rigorous British curriculum, we provide an education designed to challenge and inspire, preparing students for academic excellence and life beyond school.

Our friendly and knowledgeable Admissions Team is here to guide you through every step of the admissions process. Our standard admissions process includes an assessment and interview, typically conducted in the year prior to entry. School place offers are made following the assessment, with decisions communicated shortly thereafter. Once an offer is made, families may choose to accept it immediately or wait until the first week of March in the year of entry.

We understand that some applicants may not be able to follow this timeline. Where space allows, we are happy to consider later applications—please contact our Admissions Team to discuss your child's individual circumstances.

The usual entry points to Oxford Manor College are:

  • Key Stage 3: Years 7–9
  • Key Stage 4: Years 10–11

Occasional places may be available in other year groups, and we are always happy to receive applications for prospective students at any stage.

Assessments at Oxford Manor College

Assessments

As part of our admissions process, prospective students sit an entrance assessment designed to evaluate their current academic ability. Once your child has been registered, the assessment can be scheduled at a convenient time during term.

Following the assessment, the VP Academics reviews the results and meets with families to discuss how best to support and challenge your child. This helps us ensure that every student receives the guidance they need to thrive within our rigorous British curriculum.

We understand that assessments can feel daunting for children, so our approach is supportive, encouraging, and designed to help students feel confident and at ease throughout the process.

Assessment days also provide an opportunity for students to meet potential peers and experience the school environment, helping them feel comfortable, welcomed, and engaged from the very beginning.
